Chirs Sharp (New York, 1974) is a critique and independent curator in Paris. Invited at Nosadella.due for a residency period together with Lupe Núñez-Fernández for Mobili, selected with his Spanish colleague the artists André Guedes and Xana Kudrjavcev-DeMilner, for the residency program Transits.
After his graduation in Literature at the New School University of New York, Chris got a specialization in French Literature in Paris, where he moved and started working as a critique and an independent curator. Among the exhibition curated: Disarming Matter (2008) at the Dunkers Kulturhus of Helsingborg in Sweden; Being There at The Meet Factory in Prague (2010); The zero Budget Biennial 2009-10, curated together with Joanna Fiduccia, then put forward in different venues among Paris, Milan and London; the group exhibition Evidence of the Paranormal at the Klaus von Nichtssagend Gallery of New York (2009) and a research about Alexander Gutke’s work on the Museum of Contemporary Art of Detroit (2009). «Flash Art International» former news editor, now he is Paris editor for «Kaleidoscope», besides than collaborating with «Art Review», «Frieze», «Artnet.com», «Piktogram (Talking Pictures Magazine)», «Bing», «Art Lies», «Camera Austria» and other magazines. He has also written essays in catalogs for Benjamin Callaway, Ariel Orozco, João Pedro Vale, Becky Beasley, Ian Kiaer e Nina Canell.
