L’artista Jon Rubin è finalista, insieme al collettivo argentino Etcetera e a Emilio Fantin, della seconda edizione del Premio Internazionale di Arte Partecipativa. Per questo motivo Rubin è in arrivo a Bologna, dal 14 al 21 maggio per la prima residenza con cui entra nel vivo questa seconda edizione del Premio.

The 16th of April is the deadline for 4 Residencies at Museo Macro in Rome. The four areas on the second floor of the historical, each around 160 sqm, will be transformed into four artist studios, equipped with materials, instruments, and IT ware. Two apartments in the new building wing be assigned to two foreign artists, while the two Italian resident artists will live outside. A committee formed by the curators of the Museum and other high professionals of the art world will select the four artists that will take part in the program through an international announcement which will be divided into two cycles of four months each. The eight artists will be selected on the basis of a new project especially conceived for the spaces of the Museum, to be made during the residency in Rome. More informations on the website

Banff Artist in Residence (BAIR) Programs / from 13 of April new opportunities for Banff Artist in Residence programs, an independent period of study where artists, curators, and other arts professionals are free to experiment and explore.

The 16th of April is the deadline to send a proposal for new works of art at Culture Quarter in Bodø, the Northern Norway's second largest city, situated just north of the Arctic Circle. The Culture Quarter is focused around two buildings; a city library and a concert hall and theatre. The project is located in the heart of the city of Bodø, adjacent to the harbour promenade. The commissioned artworks will contribute to the Culture Quarter’s ambition to become a venue for exciting and challenging contemporary art and performance, across genres. The purpose of this prequalification round is to find artists who will participate in a closed competition alongside two directly invited artists, Mari Slaattelid (NO) and Mark Dion (US). The 20th of April is the deadline to apply for the Special Prize “Basi” Artist in Residence, a residency period at FARM Cultural Park in Favara (Sicily) to propose an intervention for the public spaces of FARM Cultural Park. The project has to involve common people and stimulate long term processes. It has to be characterized by a social value and a special approach to re-thinking the specific sites.
